That's right ladies and gents... TechEd 2007 USA is just around the corner and kicks off just in just over a week on June 3rd in Orlando with the pre-conference sessions. I'm really looking to the conference this year to hang with friends who you normally don't get to see outside of conferences and absorb some great content!

This year I'm presenting two breakout sessions, one chalk talk, and co-hosting one Birds of a Feather talk. Here's a detailed list (linked to my speaking page where you can get the abstract):

Spence will join me in co-hosting the Birds of a Feather session... come with plenty of questions! We will pitch our $.02 and then take questions for a packed discussion on this topic. No laptops, no screens, maybe a white board... just a dialog.

I'm also going to attend my first Party with Palermo on Sunday night at the Glo Lounge... already seen a bunch of my Florida friends RSVP as well as some others. Should be fun!

So where will I be outside of my sessions? I'll definitely hit the only WCM session of the week (OFC227 - WCM Features of MOSS 2007 by Arpan Shah of Microsoft). I'm also looking forward to checking out Ted and Patrick's hands-on-lab (OFC03-HOL - Customizing & Configuring a MOSS 2007 Publishing Portal) as well as Heather Solomon's session (OFC316 - Branding & Customizing MOSS Sites), Dustin Miller's session on SharePoint Designer (OFC324 - MSFT Office SharePoint Designer 2007: It's for Developers Too), Ted & Scot's workflow session (OFC409 - Workflow in Microsoft SharePoint Products & Technologies: Deep Dive for Developers), and Patrick's WSS dev session (OFC330 - .NET Development on WSS: The WSS Object Model). Hope to also hit a few sessions on AJAX, Silverlight, Orcas, any .NET 3.0 stuff, and a few sessions by some Florida locals for some community support (Tom Fuller, Marshall Harrison & Brian Knight... latter two fellow JAX guys!).

Looking to link up? Provided none of my virtual machines go belly up before my talks (which would commit me to  my hotel room / speaker lounge), you can find me most likely at either the Office cabana / TLC (think that's the green area) or at the Ted Pattison Group's booth in the Expo Hall. I'd love to meet more of my blog readers... one of the most fun parts of conferences!

This blog will likely be quite silent next week during the conference... frankly I like to absorb myself in the networking & hanging out with friends as conferences like TechEd are the only chances you get to see some of your friends from around the world in your field. I do hope to upload photos during the week to my Flickr account (under a set I'll create once I upload the first photo) and of course, they will all be tagged!

Oh... there will likely be a delay in responding to email & blog comments during TechEd.

All Comments Are Filtered & Moderated
Unfortunately comment spammers are just too effecient and are constantly dirtying up blogs with irrelivant and unwanted comments trying to improve their standing on search engines. All comments on this blog are moderated. I do not censor comments, but I don't approve comments with vulger language or those soliciting products. Most of the time comments are approved within a few hours of being submitted with the only exception when I'm traveling.

Why are you asking for my email address?
The only reason I'm asking for your email address, which isn't required to submit a comment, is to provide a gravatar if you've created an account for yourself and associated your email address with a small image. If you have a gravatar created for the email address you submit, it will appear next to your comment. Otherwise nothing will appear.

What is a gravatar?
A gravatar is a "globally recognized avatar." You can get more information about gravatars, as well as create your own for free, at www.gravatar.com. You can also view my gravatar here.
