Thumbing through one of the magazines laying around just waiting to be dropped in the recycle bucket, I noticed an add that caught my eye. After reading the whole thing, it hit me: there is an advertising agency that knows EXACTLY how to pull a hook-line-and-sinker on me. I scanned it in but the image looks like crap... here's the ad and text of the ad:

img018I, ____(insert name)_____, do solemnly swear that before I die, I will do the following:

Experience what it's like to not only drive a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Porsche, and AMG series Mercedes, but gain an intimate knowledge of these supercars when I push all five to their extreme limits under the guidance of a highly-decorated professional racecar driver who will teach me elite driving dynamics like how to maintain neutral balance through a decreasing radius, double apex turn and accelerate out at top speed on a world-class track that is mine for the day.

X_____(signed)_____

I love cars... but I especially ~love~ exotics. Now this is a deal... $4,990 for one day, all-inclusive (except airfare) to drive and learn about these three cars from professional drivers & mechanics. Yes, it is worth it.

I saw this ad and raced to my laptop to check out the company (www.SupercarLife.com). Supercar Life... you had me at hello...

I've rented a ferrari once for a day. It is a mindblowing experience.

First of all, thanks for the great blog, I can't count the number of time's it's helped me out. :)

On one of the car forums that I frequently read (rarely post), I remembered this post by a guy with a similar experience, except he got to drive 8 cars for 4 hours, for $1,300:

Ah... it's a plan I have when I'm in Vegas for SharePoint Connections in November. Anyone up for a desert drive? Two people have a reserved seat :)

Thanks! $1300 for 4 hours driving 8 exotics is a bargain!

Unfortunately comment spammers are just too effecient and are constantly dirtying up blogs with irrelivant and unwanted comments trying to improve their standing on search engines. All comments on this blog are moderated. I do not censor comments, but I don't approve comments with vulger language or those soliciting products. Most of the time comments are approved within a few hours of being submitted with the only exception when I'm traveling.
