MOSS 2007 Administrator's Companion Book Announcement

Bill English announced a book for MOSS 2007 administrators at TechEd 2006. The book, co-authored with others, targets non-developers.

During Bill English’s Theater talk Friday afternoon on the last day of TechEd 2006 in Boston, Bill announced a book he’s working on. Bill English, along with some coauthors, are writing the MOSS 2007 Administrators Companion book that should be available around the time MOSS goes RTM.

The target audience for this book is not developers, but as you’d expect from the title: administrators.

I’m contributing two chapters to the MOSS 2007 Admin Companion book, both on WCM. One chapter will be about WCM in general from an administration perspective, the other will be about migration from CMS to WCM. Migration will be a combination of admin-like tasks (importing content) and code/development tasks, but the chapter will only look at it from the admin perspective as well as any prep work that can be done (like the CMS Assessment Tool).
